I just asked my cousin and she says she has loads about this Anne Grethe and Utterstedt or Ytterstedt guy , so then we can confirm that Hjørdis visitid her aunt and that her husbond was Charles H Johnston

And that she was still living at the same address as in 1930 when this record was made in 1937.

She hasn't been found in the 1920 census nor in the 1940 census, correct?

I'm suspecting that she and Charles were divorced between 1930 and 1940, that's why I'm curious if they're still together in 1940.

In Ancestry there is a delayed birth certificate for Ruth Christine Johnson born 27 May 1913 at Sidney, Dawson county, Montana. I can't show it here for you but if you have ancestry it should show up if you put in her name and full birthdate and Montana.

Her father is listed as Ben Johnson b. 1885 in Bedford England and her mother as Jennie Folin b Tromso, Norway 1890.

This certificate for Ruth Christine Johnson was made on 31 Jan 1973 and approved on 6 Feb 1973. She was baptized at a Missouri Synod church, Trinity in Sidney, Montana on 14 June 1914. It was apparently sent to 11916 Wagner St in Culver City.

Jennie's marriage to Ben Johnson was celebrated in Portland Multnomah county Oregon on 10 April 1912 certificate # 22087. Ben Johnson with a Trail British Columbia address is a miner and aged 25 (or 28) years, 2 months and 11 days. Officiant was judge J.P Kavanaugh Jennie Falin in this record with her address as Nelson, B.C.

Ruth's son Steven L Bicknell was born 1 Dec 1945 in Los Angeles.

There is quite a good Family Tree on Ancestry.com for Anne Grethe Rasmussen that has this attached

Marriage
April 8, 1900 • Skibotn, Lyngen, Troms, Norway
* Anne Grethe had become pregnant with Astrid Gesine by Kristian Johannessen but he returned to Lofoten. Anne then married Isak Vilhelm Johansen in April 1900. Astrid was born in late July of that year. Thus her last name does not match Isak's last name.

The owner does a good job on sources for Anne Grethe but is wrong on Kristianne Vilhemine and puts forth the wrong info on her death.

Kristianne Vilhelmine Rasmusdatter
BIRTH APRIL 7, 1890 • Kvalberg, Troms, Norway
DEATH Florida, USA

If this is the same guy in 1910 it it is a little hard to think he is the same guy named Ben Johnson father of Ruth C from Montana?

A possible Ben Johnson:
"United States, Missouri, Naturalization Records, 1843-1991", FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:68G7-Z7XJ : Thu May 29 13:11:14 UTC 2025), Entry for Ben Johnson, 13 May 1915.

Probably the same man with closest relative as Jennie Johnson:
"United States, World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918", FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:WZH6-L5N2 : Tue Nov 25 03:19:36 UTC 2025), Entry for Ben Johnson and Jennie Johnson, from 1917 to 1918.

Here is a Jennie Johnston divorced living in Kansas City Missouri aged 23 a possible but Ruth is not with her:
"United States, Census, 1920", FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M8H8-G2N : Wed Jan 22 08:13:38 UTC 2025), Entry for Jennie Johntson, 1920.

Possibly Ben, a bit of a bad boy, in 1911 Canadian census:
"Recensement du Canada de 1911", FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVB8-TQHT : Sun Jan 05 06:44:43 UTC 2025), Entry for Ben Johnson and Daniel McKennon, 1911.

This may be the right Ben after all, but now she's called Elsie???
