According to the information elsewhere on this site, the Haakon Adelsteen made it's last crossing for The Norwegian American Steamship Company in 1875, and was wrecked on the Brazilian coast in 1895.

20 years of history seems to be missing here .

As I recently found that my gg-grandfather Ole Johan Johannesen was a carpenter aboard a ship of this name in the 1885 Bergen census, information about the ownership of this vessel at that time will be greatly appreciated .

I think a letter or a phonecall to "Bergen Sjøfartsmuseum" would be a good start.
