Looking for the Parish Record information for my great great grandparents, Bertel Johansen Nordhuglen and Ingebor Torbiornsdatter Farland, Married on March 27, 1796Stord, Nordaland, Norway and for Knudt Torbiornsen and Guri Mortensdtr married on February 12, 1804 in Tysnes, Hordaland, Norway. The digitized parish records only show births and deaths, not marriage. Can anyone help?

Hi,

If you look for Stord parish at the digital archive site the search engine will give you a list of the books available by date. For 1796 the format of the books is chronological with all pastoral acts intermixed so you have about 6 pages to look through to find your marriage record, as long as the original citation is not faulty.

Good Luck

You will find the records for Stord here

Married in Storøen church (Stord old church) demolished 1854.

Some small corrections since you don´t have the letter Ø;
Stord is in Hordaland county.
Ingebor Torbiørnsdatter Førland.

The record for Tysnes, open "Ekteviede" Weddings

Knud Torbiørnsen Anuglen and Guri Mortensdatter Elsager.

Good luck.

Rather than look for "Nordaland" -- concentrate on Stord in Hordaland.

The parish record book of Hordaland fylke, Tysnes i Tysnes, Ministerialbok nr. A 2 /1 (1732-1804) does list marriages in a separate section of the book.

The the chronological recording of church events during for Stord, Ministerialbok nr. A 3 (1778-1800) - entries for marries are notated by a mark in the column headed as "Cop." (abbreviation).
