Trying to find living relatives of the family Gjørgensen living on the farm Vasbakken i Årdal i Hjelmeland Parish,the siblings are Anna born 1854 Ole born 1857 Gudmund born 1860 Gundla born 1863 then another Gundla born 1865 Berta born 1870 all with the last name Gjørgensen father of these was Gjørgen Pedersen and mother Gundla Gregersdatter Thanks

Yeah Sorry fathers correct name is Gjørgen Olsen not Gjørgen Pedersen as previous stated!

Jens, are you trying to find living relatives in Norway or the US. In the US for example Isabella Gunderson b July 1888 Norway married John W Anderson on Jun 27, 1908 and had at least nine children. Here is that family in the 1930 US Census.

Alfred listed as 12 in the 1930 Census married Joanne Vicich on April 12, 1942 and had at least two children. some of whom may be alive today.

Thanks for this info,we can sum up that all the siblings at Vasbakken emigrated to the US except Gunla born 1863 died 1863 and Berta born 1870,I think the key to finding any living Norwegian relatives is to find what happened to Berta Jørgensdatter? Anyone got some info on her?
