A candidate for your Oluf is #142 - he was born Sept 28 1871 and baptized Oluf Nikolai.
His parents were Nils Andreas Olsen and Hartovikka Kirstine Mikkelsdatter at Halsebø.

His parents and siblings in 1865.

The parents were married Nov 4 1862, see #25. The father was then a widower and his father was Ole Helgesen. The mothers father was Mikkel Kaspersen.

Olufs mother was born Aug 13 1835, see #65 - she was baptized at home Aug 16 and this was confirmed in church Sept 20 1835. Her name here is written Hartavicha Christine. Her parents were Michel M Caspersen and Hanna K Nielsdatter at Røbergmark.

Olufs father was baptized Andreas Sept 1 1816, see middle of left page. His parents were Ole Helgersen and Anne Maria Rasmusdatter at Halsebøe. (where the first name Nils comes from is a ?)

Thank you for this information. I was trying to see if there was any famiy connection between Nils and my grandmother Marianne Henrickson. She left Trondenes for America on the same ship as Nils and also was listed as going to Northwood, N.D. It doesn't look like they were related, so again thank you for your help. Wanda
