With the number of people sporting Kvamsdal as a last name you'd think it would appear in US records more frequently. Here are the leaving through Bergen of Ingeborg and probably brothers Ole and Kaspar Lauritz:

Brother Kaspar lauritz came to US in 1927:
102902
Bergen 1006 1927 April 29 Kaspar Lauritz Kvamsdal m ug Gårdbruker 1895 Masfjorden Masfjorden Forest City Iowa USA Nei A) Farming U.S.L. Pass

Probable brother Ole Johanneson b 1893:

Sister Ingeborg to US in 1911:

Apparently Kasper Lauritz Johanneson Kvamsdal became Casper Johnson as part of his naturalization:

Perhaps Martinus & his family did something similar.

Here is Casper Johnson in 1940:

Casper Johnson died in 1982:

No, it is hard to tell from the book. This farm was however a cottager's place under main farm #3 at Kvamsdal. The farm name in masfjordboka is Boshougen or Baatshougen. Could translate approximately to "Pile of rubbish" or "Boat Hill"!

Most likely a small place where people were struggeling to get by. Magnus Kvamsdal's daughter may have stayed there.

View of Kvamsdal.
Kvamsdal means a short valley surrounded by height on one side and open on the other side.
Kvamsdal farm nr 1-2-3 are probably the farms in the background, link

Still exist, present Eikemosætra.
Must be somewhat isolated, often mentioned in connection with nature walks.

Cant find a picture/photo after a quick search of the farm, only the weather forecast.

A terrible accident hit Ananias Johannesen Kvamsdal b. 1909 on Feb. 3.1944.
His wife Jenny Edvardsdatter Hatlevik and daughter Jorun drowned when steamship Masfjord sank, see info in English down page here

Ananias married again Mai. 10. 1952 to Martha Rognaldsdatter from Litle Matre in Masfjord. They settled down in Fana

Annanias Kvamsdal died in Fana 1991 link
