You are looking for WHERE in Ål, Buskerud he was born?

Røbæk is the farm where he resided when he lived in Bolsoy - so that can't be what you are looking for.

The records for persons entering the Bolsoy parish in 1863 appear to put his birth in Ål as 14 Aug 1833 (see record #5 on left page)

The church records for Ål births/baptisms in 1833 record a child Svend Olsen born 14 Aug 1833 (see record #98)
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=1148&idx_id=1148&uid=ny&idx_side=-55

Hallingdal (region which has included the parish areas known as Ål, Hol, Hemsedal, Gol, Nes, and Flå) in Buskerud. The valley of Hallingdal is a part of the northern areas of Buskerud County, in the east of Norway. The valley stretches from the lake Krøderen in south and northwards to Hemsedal and the county border to Oppland County.

From Aal bygdebok you can read this:

Svein reiste 1843 til Romsdal saman med foreldra og sysken. I 1865 var han 'Husmand med Jord på Røbæk-nygjerde' i Bolsøy. Han hadde 1 ku og 2 sauer, og var husmann og murar.
På husmannslassen Sveinplassen i Bolsøy i 1900. Død som Svein O. Røbækgjerdet."

Yes, he was actually baptized in Hols kirke (it was an "annex" of Aal in 1834) and Skarsgaard is the farm the family was on at the time.

http://www.norgeskirker.no/wiki/Hol_kirke It was very interesting to find that a Norwegian-American left a nice sum of money to have the Hol church built.

There are two churches at Hol, the new one built about 1924 and the older one with one small part built in 1268 and added on through the centuries. He would have been baptized in the old one.
