I am looking for the original record for Tellev Berentsen born about 1751.
I can find baptism recordss for several of the children of Berent Asbiornsen and Karen Jensdatter.

Name: Jens Berentsen
Gender: Male
Baptism Date: 28 okt 1759 (28 Oct 1759)
Baptism Place: Haegeland, Vest-Agder, Norway
Father: Berent Asbiornson
Mother: Karen Jensdr

4th record left page

Records can be found for many of the children, Another Jens in 1758 and a Birthe in 1755. However I do not find any record for Hægeland past 1753. Does anyone know where or if there aren any records for 1751 for Hægeland.

The family search wiki on Hægeland records says to see Vennesla. Here's what it says about Vennesla:

"Church Records

Vennesla clerical district contains priest and sexton records from the parishes Vennesla (Vennesland), Øvrebø and Hægeland (Heggeland). These parishes belonged to Oddernes clerical district from 1704 and included then Oddernes parish. They became Øvrebø clerical district in 1805 with the parishes Øverbø, Vennesla and Hægeland with Øverbø as the main parish. In 1905 it was decided that Vennesla was to become the main parish in the clerical district.

The Family History Library has microfilmed copies of the church books, 1741-1933.

Digital images are online at Digitalarkivet.

Vennesla: 1820-1834, 1879-1921

Øverbø / Vennesla: 1794-1834, 1859-1879, 1922-1933

Oddernes / Vennesla: 1741-1794

Øvrebø / Hægeland: 1785-1834

Øvrebø / Øvrebø: 1785-1834, 1858-1894

Oddernes / Øvrebø: 1743-1784

Oddernes: 1692-1806 "

Thanks Jackie, I have tried going down that path without much success so far. The Digitalarkivet registry does not match the Family Search divisions well so it is a little difficult to follow. I have searched

Vest-Agder
Oddernes prestegjeld
Born and baptised - Oddernes sokn
1719-1764

1750 to 1752 and found one Tellef. The parents names are difficult to read but do not seem to match Berent and Kaen.

I have also tried

Vest-Agder
Oddernes prestegjeld
Chronological list - Vennesla sokn
1741-1794

The writing here is difficult so it is possible that I missed it.

I have also tried

Vest-Agder
Oddernes prestegjeld
Chronological list - Øvrebø sokn
1743-1784

with no luck.

Interestingly I did find the family in the Hægeland Bygdebok at Ytregarden. The author lists the children I found as well as a few others along with their birth years and in some cases who they married. However he calls Tellev Tollei and lists him as

Tollei, f. -?-

so maybe he is not findable.

It is a complicated set of data to wade through. However after having spent some time with the data I have found only the following Tellef's. I do not think that the parents match the father Berent Asbiornson and mother Karen Jensdatter but if someone wants to take a look and confirm that they do not match I would be appreciative.

There is a family tree og Geni where only Bernt Asbjørnsen's 4 step daughters are mentioned.

Thanks, Kåre, Yes I have seen the Geni tree, too bad it does not go further into the family.

Sometimes the baptisms go missing but have you looked for his confirmation instead?

Yes, The parish records for that era for Hægeland are chronological but confirmation is findable. For 1770, there is Tolli Barentsen Kule. Left page first record.

Link

The farm I have found associated with Tellef or Tollei is also called Kile

If you start at the beginning of the records for Hægeland which is 1753 I do not find a Tellef or Tollei. When I come to 1755 I find the daughter Birthe.

Birthe
