That is the marriage date for Even and Karen. It's included in a lot of the notes on the transcribed baptisms of their children.

Does anyone know what sort of position Even has? Jæger is hunter but is he considered in the military?

I don't think there's a notation as such in her baptismal record about being a twin. I noted the Albertine name of one of her mother's sibling's transcriptions, perhaps Albertine was named for this aunt, so a namesake?

OK, so I am still tracking that Alberine had six children with Christian Danielsen (Chris Danilson): Carl (died in Norway), Charles (Carl 2ns), Peter, Oscar, Anna, and Joseph. I am trying to keep up with the new details.

Do not forget about all the grand uncles you picked up in Wisconsin. Christopher, Ole and Niels.

You can add a new one. Hans Danielsen as well. Hans was born Dec 11, 1829. See number 738.

Hi, on my MAIN list of relatives - direct - Albertine B. Amundsen and Christian Danielsen have my Great-Grandmother Elizabeth Christine Danielson (born 4 Apr 1875 Wisconsin and died 24 Mar 1926). When I was loading their five children, this must be before my great-grandmother in 1875. Correct???

Your question is confusing me. Which five children are you referring to?

I am looking at your tree on Ancestry and I do not see any five children. You have three children for Elizabeth C and husband and seven children for Christian and Albertine.

In the 1870 Census for Chris Danilson, one of the children is listed as Anna C Danilson born in Wisconsin abt 1868. I would think this is her in the Ancestry Records.

I notice in the 1900 US Census for Anna C Danielson Woodward one of the other members living with the family is a Elizabeth Donaldson born in Wisconsin in 1875. I expect that is your Great Grandmother, Elizabeth C Danielson.

Hi, Under Alberine Amundsen and Christian Danielsen my Great-Grandmother is born on 4 Apr 1875. Her name is Elizabeth Christine Danielson. She later marries my Judge Theodor Augustus Kittredge. These people are my direct ancestors. I was wondering when you listed names eariler for household members: Chris Danilson (45), Albertina Danilson (27), Charles, Peter, Oscar, Anna C, and Joseph (born 1871)... maybe because Elizabeth Christine was born in 1875 the records you cited didn't include her yet. I hope... correct??? Randy

Correct,

I would have to go back and look but I think my list was only four children and came from the 1870 Census. Those would be Charles, Peter, Oscar and Anna C. Joseph 1871 and your Elizabeth 1875 came after the 1870 Census.

Ah yes I see that in the post with the 1870 Census, I added a record for Joseph born 1871 in Wisconsin. So that is your five and yes then there is Elizabeth in 1875. Were there some others. The Family Search Tree that Jackie posted has two others that I have no records on. One is an infant born in 1876 who also died in 1876 . But there is a John Christian born in 1872, where did he go. The Tree shows him living until 1946?

Looking at your Family Tree on Ancestry, I would have to say you are doing a great job filling in the blanks and correcting any small errors that might have been there. It may take you a few months to fill in the rest of the rather large family that you now know about.

With the death of their mother in 1879 I wonder if the children scattered. Here are three children in the 1880 Census living at a place called an Industrial School. The Census lists seems to be a large number of children. The first page of the list of children gives the name of the facility as St. Joseph Orphan Asylum.

Lizzie Danilson
in the 1880 United States Federal Census
Name: Lizzie Danilson
Age: 5
Birth Date: Abt 1875
Birthplace: Wisconsin
Home in 1880: Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
Street: Mmp Ads
House Number: 380
Dwelling Number: 178
Race: White
Gender: Female
Marital status: Single
Father's Birthplace: Norway
Mother's Birthplace: Norway
Neighbors: View others on page
Household Members:
Name Age
Lizzie Danilson 5

The other two children named Danilson listed with her are

Name: Joseph Danilson
Age: 9
Birth Date: Abt 1871
Birthplace: Wisconsin
Home in 1880: Milwaukee , Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
Street: Mmp Ads
House Number: 380
Dwelling Number: 178
Race: White
Gender: Male
Marital status: Single
Father's Birthplace: Norway
Mother's Birthplace: Norway

Name: John Danilson
Age: 7
Birth Date: Abt 1873
Birthplace: Wisconsin
Home in 1880: Milwaukee , Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
Street: Mmp Ads
House Number: 380
Dwelling Number: 178
Race: White
Gender: Male
Marital status: Single
Father's Birthplace: Norway
Mother's Birthplace: Norway

The inclusion of John would match the list of children in the Family Tree posted by Jackie

Good Morning Anton, I joined and uploaded my Ancestry DNA into the Norway DNA project you mentioned. I am waiting for their assistance. Mr. David Howden is one of their administrators and emailing. I mentioned Albertine Amundsen and Christian Danielsen as my Great-Grandmother. Are you a member? https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/norway/activity-feed
Any other ideas to research ANY connect to explorer Roald Amundsen???? Even with my DNA.

If it can be determined what Even Sæther's relationship is with the Norwegian military, overjæger til Co 4, given that his residence was in the Vaterland neighborhood in Oslo, it might be that he actually worked at Akershus Castle. Akershus is closer to your ship's landing point than most of Kirkegaden and closer than Var Frelser's, for certain. Akershus is open from 6 am to 9 pm most days.

I'm just not certain what it means to be overjæger. I have noted in the a number of the baptisms of his children, army officers have served as godparents to the child.

Good Morning Jackie, Can you please share the link with me on Even Johnannesen Saether? He would be Elise Saether's father. or Albertine Amundsen's grandfather. How can we prove he worked at Akershus Castle? That would be cool to visit. Thank you!!!!
