I'm working on translations from the Bridal Boat Accident book and can't find the English word for "fyring", which should be a type of fishing boat or transport / freight boat owned by the Flesvik and Heggstad farms.

Could it be the same as a Færing? The word faering comes from the Norwegian word færing (Old Norse feræringr), literally meaning "four-oaring": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faering

A fyring is a fishing boat with four pair of oars.
A færing is smaller and has two pair of oars.
