I am doing research to find the great great grandparents of my husband who is grandson of Kristoffer Eriksen born 12 Feb 1843 Nes, Odalen, Akershus, who immigrated to New Zealand 1872 with wife Bertha Maria Olsdatter who tragically died on sea with their infant baby girl.

I have the name Erik Olsen born 1802 Agotsrud, Sar-Odal, Norway -died 27 Dec 1869 Gjersoyenmyra, Sar-Odal, Norway, and wife name Ronnov Eriksdatter. Would like to find all the family members of Erik and Ronnov, children and their parents and grandparents names. I do appreciate any help I can get.
Kind regards
Christa Erickson

There is a baptism in Sør-Odal in Hedmark fylke in 1843 for son Christopher, born Feb 12 to parents Erik Olsen Gjersøymyr ("Gjersøjenmyr") and wife Dorthe Mathisdatter. (Third entry on the right.)

The parents can be found in the 1865 census, still living at Gjersøymyr, but without Christopher.

Where did you get the information you mention in this post? If Erik Olsen's father is Anders Olsen most likely he would be found in records as Erik Andersen rather than Olsen.

There are about six candidates for Erich father Ole. So a bit more difficult to determine which one might be the one we are looking for.

Farm should be Aagotsrud. (Modern spelling Ågotsrud.) There is in fact a reference to Ågotsrud in the piece on Gjersøymyr in Sør-Odal bygdebok that I posted above.

I also looked at the piece on Ågotsrud in the same book, but there is no information on Erik's origin there; it just says that one Erik Olsen stayed there when he married Dorthe in 1830. The daughter Sigri is also mentioned: Link

A shot in the dark. There is an Ole Persen Nordberget listed having paid tax in 1816 in Hedmark.

Given the tradition of naming the oldest daughter after the girl's paternal grandmother, this is a strong candidate, then. Erich Olsen and Dorthe Mathisdatter's first daughter Sigri was born in the spring of 1830, before the wedding in November of that year. Baptisms of children born out of wedlock were marked with doodles in the margin in the parish at the time. Sigri's baptism is the last with doodles here: Dorthe Mathisdatter Mange's daughter Sigri born March 15. The father Erich Olsen Aagaasrud. Witnesses Marie Sjønnerud, Peder Graven, Ole Pedersen Strøm, Mette Graven, Anne Pedersdatter Strøm. (My go at a reading.)

Brings me right back to the 1803 baptism of Erich in 1803 where the farm name is listed as nord Bergets Stormoe Ejet.
