| No...we haven't found Mary's father's name yet....and the only thing that we know about her mother is her name. Still searching for their info...sorry. |

I was looking at their children; it seems the first four were Georgeanne, Sarah, John and Walter?
Knowing that her mother was Sarah and his father was John or a variant of that name, I'm guessing that her father was named Walter and his mother was named Jørgine; which would be the norwegian spelling of Georgeanne. |

Baltimore is a less common destination for a Norwegian migrating than other ports. Here are the two earliest with the last name or patronymic name beginning with jo*:

We have ruled out the name of the man that we thought was a good candidate for our Cornelius. It was Cornelius Jensen born 1845, the 4th name on the list of all the Kornelius'/Cornelius' born 1845 in the 1865 census at the Digitalarkivet Exact date of birth from the parish baptism records.
So on to another name on the lists.... |
