Yes that is the 1891 census of my family. I went and looked at the Ceylon cemetery It appears to be the whole family less Knut Andreas born Sept 1890. He must have not been alive when they travelled. I also noticed a son of Edvard and Olines, Emil Forseth is also buried there. I wonder if this family also started in White Rock South Dakota and all traveled to Sask in 1903. New things to follow up on. So in your opinion do think Edvard and Anna Jensen are a lost cause ? I truly appreciate your time and effort.

I don't believe Edvard and Anna's origin needs to remain a mystery forever. In the late nineteenth century the cities would have commissions for the poor that would keep protocols which at least in some cases would say something about the identity of orphans. Some material of this type has been made available online at Digitalarkivet. There is nothing from Kristiansund yet, with a little luck this may change.
