The origin of Hadland might be Hadeland, an area in the southern part of Oppland county
http://www.rootsweb.com/~norway/oppland.html

Both Skedsmo and Ullensaker are municipalities in Akershus county, north-east of Oslo.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~norway/akershus.html

A lot of names going back to 1788:
As Lester asked about abowe, what exactly are you looking for?

Your GGM Anne Kirstine Olsdatter - christening record here #40 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=545&idx_id=545&uid=ny&idx_side=-23
parents Ole Knudsen and Marie Hansdatter at the Jogstad farm in Skedsmo.
Your GGGF Amund Arnesen and GGGM Kari Larsdatter had a daughter Barbro Amundsdatter born in 1817 and a son Alexander Julianus Amundsen born in 1828, #26 here http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=7648&idx_id=7648&uid=ny&idx_side=-145

GGGM Kari Larsdatter born 1788, on the left page herehttp://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=7641&idx_id=7641&uid=ny&idx_side=-32
father Lars Olsen and mother Dorthe Christophersdatter - at the Krogsrud farm.

GGGGF Arne Michelsen christened Aug 2 1750, see 5th from top left side http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=7639&idx_id=7639&uid=ny&idx_side=-157
Parents Michel Amundsen, Waarum (farm) og qvinde - means and wife
The marriage record in 1782 on top of left side http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=7645&idx_id=7645&uid=ny&idx_side=-18
does not give any of Arnes or Barbaras parents. In the census of 1801 for the Brotnov farm they have two children Amund and Mari, see http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=2&filnamn=f10235&gardpostnr=88&merk=88#ovre
To fill in the gaps just takes some time/work - much is already there on available records - make sure you have the right years - some of the 19++ should probably be 18++

Again, READ the Posting Guidelines, you are doing multiple postings on the same topic, it is VERY confusing.

http://www.norwayheritage.com/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3365

Why in the world you find the need to list recently born children is beyond me, it has nothing to do with researching your ancestors in Norway.

that is one of things I have been trying to do, but I cannot make the link
I know that Roald Amundsens (b07/16/1872) brothers????
father & mom are Jens Amundsen (1821-1893) & Gustava (b1838) and that
Jens brothers were Magnus(b8/30/1812), Lars (b9/26/1824), Lorenz(b6/24/1827), Fredrik (b5/20/1831)
that Jens parents were Amund Magnusen & Caren Jensdatter
that Amunds father was Ole Amundsen (b1782) brothers?????
but I cannot prove or disprove a link between my family and Roalds if any

Hi Betheva,
It appears we may be on different branches of the same tree. Our trees seem to connect by blood at your GGM Anne Kirstine Olsdatter b. 1834 & GGF Alexander Julianus Amundsen b.1828. Would you be interested in sharing?

Although, I do not have any data that could help you prove a blood connection to Roald Amundsen.

Hi Betheva, I do have information from several branches at this point I would be happy to share with you. I have been using GenoPro to create the family tree. There may be a way for me to post the tree with a private online access, something I will have to look into. Otherwise I can send you a disk(s) with the tree, picture and copies of Parish/Census information I have found to this point. Just spoke to my Aunt regarding the question of if the above listed siblings: Clara Louise and Louis Alfred Amundsen are the same Mrs. Clara Larsen & Alfred Amundsen I knew growing up, she was not sure. She was also not sure if your GGM Karl Olaus is the same Uncle Karl that assisted my Grandmother Caroline and her Aunt Jenny Alette immigrate to the States back in the early 1900's. She mentioned there is another relative Karl Amundsen in Texas. I'm excited to meet a distant relative and pass on what has been shared by others as well as what I have found. Wishing you and yours a very Happy Easter.

Hi Betheva, Not sure where you found the "Roald" family names but most are incorrect. Thought this would help you. Jens Engebreth's
siblings were: Anne Helene, Petter Christian, Jens (deceased @ 2m), Karen Lovise, Carl Andreas, Johannes, Amund, Anne Magdalene,
Carl, Caroline Masine, & Olava Kristine.

Their parents were: Ole Amundsen 1783 & Anne Kristine Gravning

Sincerely,
Joy Amundson

I am related to Roald Amundsen from the Botne side of the Vadholmen family. I have a family tree I can send you via e-mail if you like. Mary Keys (Let me know?) Tom Vadholm of Oslo Norway has continued the family history from our great grandfather.

The names I have on my Botne ancestors relating to Roald Engebregt Gravning Amundsen (1872) are: Kirsten Jensdatter Botne, 1707; Oliana Nielsdatter S. Kile, 1733; Anne Jonsdatter S. Kile, 1762; Anne Kristine Jensdatter Gravening, 1783; Jens Engebreth Amundsen, 1820; and Roald Engebregt Gravning Amundsen, 1872. Hope this is helpful. We are also related on Mari Jensdatter Botne's generations to the stepfather of Karl Rove, which I found to be interesting. Mary Keys
