Kari and Torkel were engaged at the Wiger church in Nordrehov, do you know if that church still stands.

Hi Kare,
I did find the family tree on Kari Lindelien, It's amazing. I was wondering if it was possible to find the birth record for Taran Olsdatter Haugsrud, it says he was born in 1672 Haugsrud Sor Aurdal Oppland. How do people find information that goes back to the 1600's and earlier.
Thanks,
Theresa

Its a great family tree, many names to investigate.
It could be coming from her death record. She was buried in Hedalen 1743, age 71. Down right page 11. up from the Summary 69:

28 Sept i Hedalen. Ellef Ĝvrebyes wife Taran Olsdr. - 71 aar Hedalen.
Or from a probateregister, not online yet.
Here is an example from Kongsberg in Buskerud 1744 how a probateregister containing the names of all heirs, relationship etc. could be, Click here

I also find this on Taran

You can find Taran Olsdatter on the family tree for Kari Olsdatter Lindelien. Go to "List of sirnames" among the names find "Haugsrudeie" and she is there.
