Halvor Knudsen, Nordstokke 32 years old, moving out to "Utlandet" in 1831, see #14.
The only Halvor Knudsen in Avaldsnes in 1801 is Abelone Halvorsdatters uægte son, 6 years old, his bapt record is in the far right column he was baptized May 10 1795 and the father was Knud Christophersen, Avaldsnæs.

Utlandet was any country outside of Noway, this means he intended to leave Norway without saying where he was going.

Knud Knudsen, Nordstokke, 30 years, married Anne Karine Olsdatter, Stangeland, 22 years, on June 16 1831, see #9.

Anna Carina Olsdatter was born 1810 and baptized Sept 2, see right page, her parents Ole Ommundsen and Kari (Anna Carina) Olsdatter were then on Sørstokke. When their daughter Anna Carina was confirmated the parents were on Stangeland.

Is this saying that Knuds wife Anne died in route to the USA in 1850?
Does this say Ole was born Sept 4 1832 in America?
the 2 knuts also born in America?
I am confused if they don't come till 1850?

Can you send me the link to these pages?

I think we are on the right track!

So do you think Halvor Knudsen, Nordstokke 32 years old, moving out to "Utlandet" in 1831, see #14. is related Knut Knutson?

Thank-you ALL! for all your help!!!

Jodie

Sorry that the link for Anna Carina did not work, it is now corrected.

quote:
Does this say Ole was born Sept 4 1832 in America?
- the answer to your question is in my posting 07/08 2010 "The record for baptism of Ole is #90, parents Knud Knudsen and Anna Karine Olsdatter on Nordstokke."

quote:
Ao-57 Knut Knutsen født ca. 1801, døde i 1886 i Texas
Sønn av Knut Halvorsen og Kari Knutsdatter " Nordstokke-Ao 56
- Knut Halvorsen was not married to Kari Knutsdatter - it was Guri Knutsdatter, died Aug 21 1826, 57 years old, see #18.
Knut Halvorsen died July 20 1845, 87 years old, see
#48.

Now that I have all of that sorted out, Thank-you so much!

At least 2 of the brothers came at different times. 1831 and 1850

Now perhaps we can find the other 2 boys. Ole and Jens
