"Lilyhammer" to be aired on Netflix soon...

The Norwegian TV series "Lilyhammer" is soon to be aired on Netflix.
The series is about Frank Tagliano, who had to go undercover in the Olympic city of Lillehammer, Norway, after testifying against the New Jersey-based Italian-American mobster family in US court.
The Sopranos-star Steven van Zandt (Little Steven) has the lead role in this TV-series, which is a Norwegian "follow-up" of the American television drama "The Sopranos".

Lilyhammer trailer

The Norwegian premiere has been delayed due to issues related to product placements in the series...

Thanks, Jan Peter!
I will watch for this one, since 1) I enjoyed the Sopranos and 2) I'm planning on visiting Lillehammer this summer.
Can't wait!

Also want to add, that Steven Van Zandt is part of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. A very talented actor and musician.

I know. I've seen them live several times in Oslo! Great band! :)

Hi,
I've seen the band twice myself. :-)

I wanted to add that you can now watch Lilyhammer on Netflix on Instant Play. Season 1 is available.

Take care, Wanda

I wonder if BMW would allow me to travel through Norway this summer for free, if I filmed it for Motor Trend or a BMW commercial. :-)

That Audi was very nice and the views are breathtaking.

Thanks for the recommendation!
It looks good and it's available on Netflix, for those that are interested.

How would you rate it? Is it an adult only movie?
Thanks again, Wanda

Two of the most viewed Norwegian movies at the cinema's last year:

Hodejegerne (The Headhunters)

The Headhunters is a great action movie, and won "The People's Amanda", voted for by the public, at the Norway's national film awards this weekend.

Oslo, 31. august (Oslo, August 31st)

One day in the life of Anders, a young recovering drug addict, who takes a brief leave from his treatment center to interview for a job and catch up with old friends in Oslo.

Thanks, Jan Peter! I was just in Norway last week and had a wonderful time. I was in Vegusdal, Mykland, Seljord, Hjartdal, Vikersund, Lillehammer, Gausdal and Oslo. For those with family from the Gausdal valley, I think it is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. It must of been very hard for them to leave such beauty. I came home looking for more movies to watch. My brother recently recommended "Kitchen Stories" from 2003. He said that I would like it, so I'm passing this on, as well. Storyline
In post war Sweden it was discovered that every year, an average housewife walks the equivalent number of miles as the distance between Stockholm and Congo, while preparing her family meals. So the Home Research Institute sent out eighteen observers to a rural district of Norway to map out the kitchen routines of single men. The researchers were on twenty-four-hour call, and sat in special strategically placed chairs in each kitchen. Furthermore, under no circumstances were the researchers to be spoken to, or included in the kitchen activities.

Ah ha. I hadn't looked at that first page in quite awhile. So you liked that movie too? I know that it's available on Netflix, so will probably watch it this weekend. :-)
