Maybe she was born in 1869, rather than arriving in America that year??

Snip from the piece on Østbye in Tjølling Bygdebook. Anders Nilsen (1790-1892) with sons Lars (b.1823) who emigrated and Nils (b. 1828) with daughter Hanna Kristine (b. 1869) who also emigrated. There is a confirmation record for her in Tjølling in the 1880ies. Is this the person you are looking for?

The Bygdebook doesn't say that Hanna Kristense/Kristine's parents emigrated, only that she did. And she was still in Norway for her 1883 confirmation:

Yes, that's my family! Emigrated July 1, 1872. Lars sold his portion of the Ostby farm, then jumped on the ship (after their father died). Hoping to find Hannah in US?!
