My great great grandparents, Ole and Mette Olsen Vik are in the 1865 census:

1865 Norway: 31 Dec 1865, District 5, School District 5te, Subparish Værnes, Nedre Stjørdalen, Nord-Trondelag, Norway
Farm Name: Vigaunet Page 104

I am wanting to find a picture or an aerial view of the farm in the present time. If I could have any help with this I would greatly appreciate it. They left Norway in 1870.

Try FINN-kart website.

Since "g" and "k" are interchangeable, I am guessing maybe an alternate spelling is Vikaunet, and "Vik" is a short form used in America?

Ole Olsen, Hvidhammer Plads and Mette Sofie Olsdatter, Wiigaunet were married June 20 1854, see #24.
Mette Sofie was the only child of Ole Olsen and Gunild Paulsdatter, Wiigaunet. She was born Nov 29 1833, see 8.

Sorry to be a nuisance but is the farm of my great great grandparents the larger one or smaller one.The Google and FINN Kart seem to show two different places close together. Thanks.

Stjørdalsboka (Bygdebok) describe 3 Vikaunet farms, Øvre Viksaunet, Midtre Vikaunet and Østre Vikaunet.
Based on this and the fact that Ole and Mette Sophie farmed Øvre Vikaunet, I believe that this was the leftmost of the three farms in the maps.

Mette Sophies father Ole Olsen, was born appr. 1801, came from Nordlandstrøa.(Sub farm of Nordlandet). March 13 1829 at Hvithammerplads, see #111.
His parents were Ole Olsen and Marit Larsdatter.

Based on information from Stjørdalsboka, I have corrected some informations.
Furthermore I found the marriage of Ole Olsen, Vinge and Marit Larsdatter, Hjelseng, Mette Sophies the parents of Mette Sophies husband. See #34.
Ole was a widower, 47 years old and his father was Ole Olsen.
Marit was 35 years old and her father was Lars Johnsen.

Thanks again Einar for all of this. I was thinking of the farm location last night and I was going to ask if it was the left one but you have already corrected that. Also thanks for all the other information you have given me. It is great to have someone who knows more about this than I do. I appreciate this more than you know.

Just a quick question but wasn't it Ole Olsen, husband to Mette, born in 1829 and Mette's parents were Ole Olsen and Gunhild Paulsdatter? I just want to make sure that I have this accurate.
